Construction season

This one is just around the corner from where we live.
That is a maple of some sort and it is not yet quite at peak.  The birch in the foreground and the ash in the background accurately portray the position of those species in the fall color show, no longer on the stage.

There is something coming soon, a little something called winter.  Usually there isn't much in the way of residential construction work during that season.

We had a giant wind and rain storm here on July 5 (see July 7 post, Tour de storm damage).  The house below is featured in the last photo from that entry.  A big tree came down on that house and they covered up the damage with a blue tarp.
Well, the blue tarp is still in place.

This makes me wonder if the occupants of that house have adequately considered that coming season.  I know that for myself I want more than a blue tarp separating outdoors from indoors during that time of year.

And construction season is nearly over.

Love the orange tree.

A blue tarp is a puny plan.

I concur with Santini - that blue tarp is a puny plan. I wonder what the hold-up is? Perhaps an insurance battle? Maybe they aren't even living there until it can get fixed? So many questions...

I have the same questions that Emily has and also concur with Santini's comments. Very nice to see a post again!
