Road trip

We are on a road trip, our first without TCWUTH since our honeymoon circumnavigation of Lake Superior.  Naturally enough we decided this time to head for Tijuana.
OK, actually Rhinelander, Wisconsin, on our way to the Hockey Hall of Fame and  Niagara Falls.

My personal feeling about ethnic restaurants is that the likelihood of discovering good food inside is largely determined by whether or not there is a large group of that ethnic bloc living in proximity to the restaurant location.

Right, not many Mexicans in Rhinelander, northeastern Wisconsin,  population 7,700 or so..

Except every member of the staff when we were there this evening, about a dozen in all.

No passport required for crossing from Minnesota into Wisconsin and I am pretty sure none will be required for tomorrow's crossing into Michigan.  The day after that though we will need official documents issued by the US government.  Ask the fellow traveler, she has a story to tell.

It sounds like you're off to a good start.

Mexican food in Rhinelander? Unexpected.

I look forward to the trip report. Some new territory on the blog.
