Completely off topic

Raining here today so I just want to weigh in on the really important social question of the day.

As reported by Vanity Fair, Mia Farrow has responded ambiguously to a question about the paternity of her only biological son, Ronan Farrow.  Farrow was married to Woody Allen when Ronan was born.  She had previously been married to Frank Sinatra.

Possibly, she says.

Frank as a young man.
Ronan, age 25, with his mom.
I have posted a black and white of Frank but he is, of course, famous for his blue eyes.

Here is Woody as a young man.
Further, Frank's daughter Nancy is quoted by the magazine as saying Ronan "is a big part of us, and we are blessed to have him in our lives."

Ronan himself has responded to the stir by tweeting "Listen, we're all *possibly* Frank Sinatra's son."

Good on ya, young fella.

Totally Sinatra's kid.  I wonder if he can sing.

There are tests to confirm that sort of thing. But it is a good story, and he sure does look more like a Sinatra than he does like that other guy.

Nancy Sinatra can't sing. I don't think that's the right test.

Everyone is declining the tests.

I didn't mean that whether he can sing would be a true test of paternity, Frank Jr. also cannot sing very well, his more like a lead singer of a group at a Holiday Inn in Terra Haute level of talent seems mostly to be a minimal amount of Frank Sr. sound alike.

In fact, Frank's previously acknowledged children seem clearly not terribly musically talented.

I was thinking maybe this other one may be the one who inherited that gene, although admittedly talent that white hot is almost never inheritable.

I think declining the tests is a good move, at least publicly. Along the lines of "why spoil a good story...?"

A Holiday Inn in Terra Haute is funny.

The latest "Esquire" mag has a "What I've learned" interview/article about Rowan Farrow. He says that Woody left the family group when he was five or six and thus doesn't have much of a relationship with him. Not a big surprise, given that he seems to be more Sinatra than Allen - in looks at least. He was a Rhodes scholar, and he writes and records country songs, according to Esquire. Probably more Farrow than anything else.
