Dave is correct, it has been a long time.  But there isn't any need to take it easy on him, he still has it.

A couple of old photos to show how wet a season we had here this year.

This one is out at the tunnel under Gramsie Road separating Grass Lake from the Snail Lake wetlands.

Except this year there really wasn't any separating the two bodies of water.  With the water table so high the street was only a dike and a bridge.  It was all pretty much a lake.  A shallow lake, but a lake.

My current goal is to get out there at least one more time.

Whether I do or not will depend on wind direction and temperature.

Wind direction is always hard to predict but a precipitous drop in temperature definitely it coming.  It isn't here yet.
