It looked like a nice day from inside the house. And maybe when the temperature reaches 62F in November you have to go ahead and go with nice day. Unless you are a bicyclist, particularly a bicyclist trying to ride south.
The wind was unfair.
But the guest rider and I got in a pretty nice ride so maybe flip back to nice day. According to GRider it was a banner day for roundabouts.
We rode through four and made complete rounds about three of them.
Here we are on the Griggs Street Bikeway where it crosses the Charles Avenue Bikeway.
The sign seems clear enough, the street we are about to cross is the Charles Avenue Bikeway in both directions away from that intersection. Up ahead there just on the other side of the intersection you can see another green sign that identifies the street we are on as the Griggs Street Bikeway.
If you assume that we were feeling pretty bikey you would be correct.
Further down the street on Griggs you may be able to see that the next intersection appears to be blocked.
Roundabout, part of a banner day for roundabouts.

It was a banner day for roundabouts, I agree. But I would say it was a VERY nice day even for Sept or Oct because of the relative warmth and the blue skies. I was over-dressed (note unzipped shirt and jacket) and it is November.
Pretty bikey, for sure. Sorry about the wind. Rumor has it that the wind is about to get really nasty here. It's good to be reminded that it isn't impossible to ride in the wind. Just hard.
