We dodged around the Fair by riding almost to Lauderdale and then heading south through Falcon Heights, specifically through the part of Falcon Heights that I believe is called University Grove. It is a bit of a hassle to ride that route but it is actually a bit shorter than the route I usually ride when heading south. As a result of the detour/short cut we ended up here at very slightly under 11 miles.
I call that one bei ihnen zu Hause mit ihrer Mootter. Close observers will no doubt be able to verify that today's ride for me was made on a crabon fibre bicycle, as promised. It was scary light.
They weren't home. Can you believe it they were out on a bicycle ride?
We were mostly on the Minneapolis side on the way over, we cut back into the capitol city for the return trip. Shortly after successfully getting ourselves off Ford Parkway (a venture into traffic to make a left turn across traffic) we came upon this.
There are never enough pictures of trees featuring orange fruit.
What? Florida? Actual orange trees?
Still, not enough.
Here is a coincidence significant enough to cause us to stop. We were both just going by 14 on our daily trip odometers when we came upon this.
I did not previously know this but there was some sort of marathon over there today. It was over before we got there, I guess, but they had not yet removed the marathon traffic furniture.
We tried to get some people watching photos by riding into the traffic mess near the Fair. Alas, it was much too large a mess and we came away without any photos of teeming masses. Our route did mean that we ended up with a photo of Moo with Cows.
It may be September but my personal opinion is that Labor Day is the last day of summer/first day of fall. So today was still summer and actually that is what it felt like, a very nice summer day.

Amusing post. It seemed to include a lot of people watching -- primarily watching Mrs. Smith. It even looks to me as though, in the last photo, at least two of the cows are watching Mrs. Smith quite closely. Maybe all three.
Nice bike.
Nice ride.
